Anti-Hair Loss Ingredients

Below you will find a full breakdown of the 23 key ingredients used in HR23+, as of July 2023.

Horsetail
+
Pumpkin Seed
Horsetail is rich in silica, a mineral that is important for the growth and strength of hair. Silica helps in the formation of collagen, a protein that provides structure to the hair strands. The antioxidants present in horsetail can help protect hair follicles from oxidative stress and damage caused by free radicals. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory properties may help soothe the scalp and reduce irritation, which can contribute to healthier hair.

Pumpkin seed extract contains compounds that have been suggested to inhibit the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). By reducing DHT levels, pumpkin seed extract may help prevent hair thinning and promote hair growth.
Vitamin E
(D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate

Vitamin E builds capillaries in the body and improved blood flow on the scalp encourages hair growth. Adding 400 IU a day of vitamin E to the diet stimulates the hair follicles that grow hair. Vitamin E can also be massaged into the scalp to encourage blood flow to the scalp. Many whole foods contain bio-available
vitamins, but adding supplements to the diet increases the nutrition available in the blood stream to stimulate hair growth.
Thiamine HCI (B-1) & Riboflavin (B-2)
B vitamins help grow hair by aiding the body to handle stress and stress can cause hair loss. Inositol, one of the B vitamins, has been shown to speed hair growth. B12 is another B vitamin that prevents hair loss because B12 is a component of the hair itself. Many people are deficient in this nutrient, especially vegetarians, because B12 is mainly found in meat and eggs. The B vitamins are best taken together and are frequently sold with the label B Complex.
Niacin
Also known as vitamin B3 and niacinamide, Nicotinic amide is a potent cell-communicating ingredient that offers multiple benefits for ageing skin. Assuming skin is being protected from sun exposure, niacinamide can improve skin's elasticity, dramatically enhance its barrier function, help erase discolourations, and revive skin's healthy tone and texture.
Nicotinic amide also contains elements that help to maintain healthy hair growth.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)
Vitamin B6 has many functions in the body and one of these is to help regulate hormones. The correlation between hair loss and hormones has been widely established, leading to the speculation that vitamin B6 may help with hair regrowth. There is more than anecdotal evidence, as several small-scale clinical studies have shown positive results with vitamin B6 as a hair growth agent.
Pteroyl-L -glutamic acid
(Folic Acid)
Vitamin M

Folic acid, an essential B vitamin, is vital to the proper functioning of the human body. A deficiency in folic acid can cause a host of medical problems, including the stunting of hair growth.
Biotin
Biotin has been called 'hair food' and rightly so, since one of the effects seen most often is an increased rate of growth in the hair when taking biotin supplements on a daily basis.
Pantothenic Acid
(Vitamin B5)

Pantothenic Acid, also called Vitamin B5, has been associated with healthy hair growth. It can help prevent hair loss, keep you from going grey, and is also good for your nails. The name of the vitamin comes from the Greek word for everywhere, because it is found in a great many foods.

It has been shown to result in a rapid cessation of hair loss, and for this reason is a very good companion to using the laser. What it does is help to get vital nutrients into the hair follicle, strengthening it; improving its function, and keeping it healthy so the follicle can grow a hair.
Zinc + Copper
Zinc is important for healthy hair. Insufficient zinc levels may result in loss of hair, hair that looks thin and dull and that goes grey early.
Due to their healing properties, copper peptides promote rapid growth of hair. Copper peptides are used for regular scalp treatments and also in hair tonics for overall hair and scalp treatment.
Nettle Leaf Extract
The root extract of stinging nettle suppresses the activity of 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme that catalyses the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This is primarily beneficial for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia.
Choline
Deficiency of Choline can cause stress which can lead to hair loss. Choline supports the healthy balance of the body which has a huge impact on the health of hair and scalp.
Inositol
cyclohexane

Inositol (cyclohexane) is important for hair growth. Men, who were taking inositol supplements, reported less hair loss, although clinical trials of it are yet to be carried out.
Para-Aminobenzoic Acid
Para-Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA) has been called the anti-gray hair vitamin and is considered one of the lesser known members of the vitamin B complex family (despite the fact that it’s not really a vitamin at all).
L-Cysteine
Several studies have confirmed that cysteine supplementation can reduce the symptoms of androgenic alopecia.
Silicon Dioxide
This mineral helps to strengthen your blood vessels and improve circulation, which can stimulate the blood flow to your scalp and encourage growth.
Dimethyl Sulfone
Methylsulfonylmethane is an organic suphur compound that occurs naturally in some plants and foods. It is sold as a dietary supplement, and is commonly used to treat a variety of ailments. MSM has been found to be beneficial in treating osteoarthritis, and it is thought to possibly be helpful in treating other conditions including allergies, snoring, asthma, and back pain-although these uses need more clinical research to substantiate MSM's effectiveness. Most recently, MSM has become a popular supplement for promoting fast, healthy hair growth.
Ginkgo Leaf Extract
Ginkgo biloba has been found to increase circulation and help with hair growth. It does this by increasing blood flow to the peripheral parts of the body, and micro-capillaries. By improving circulation to these capillaries, the body is able to more-effectively deliver oxygen and nutrients to the scalp, thus promoting hair growth.
Saw Palmetto (Seronoa Repens)
& Nettle Leaf

We have combined Nettle Leaf with Saw Palmetto to prevent hair loss. Both are thought to inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. This is an enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), a hormone that has been found to damage hair follicles. In men, DHT is the primary contributing factor to pattern baldness, and in women, DHT is one of several possible causes of hair-loss.
Green Tea + Pumpkin Seed Extract
Green tea is a good source of panthenol, which is often used in shampoos and conditioners to strengthen hair and manage split ends. Panthenol, along with the other antioxidants present in green tea, may help in strengthening the hair and making it healthier.
In the study, men with pattern baldness took either pumpkin seed supplements or a placebo. The results showed those who took supplements experienced 30 percent more hair growth than those who received the placebo. These findings rocketed pumpkin seed oil to the forefront among natural hair growth promoters.
Grape Seed + Green Tea
Grape seed extract is a very potent supplement that acts as an antiallergenic, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant. Like Pygeum Africanum and Saw Palmetto, Grape Seed extract has also been found to inhibit DHT production, and thus prevent hair follicle damage.
